Tutorial:Bias Tape by Dura



Potong fabrik pada kedudukan serong~ 45darjah.

Lebih mudah dan cepat jika menggunakan rotary cutter.
Tetapi jika anda tidak mempunyai rotary set, tandakan kain yang hendak dipotong terlebih dahulu dan potong menggunakan gunting.

Saya hendak membuat bias tape berukuran 1".
Oleh itu, lebar fabrik yang dipotong adalah berukuran 1 7/8" (Sila rujuk Jadual 1)

Teruskan memotong untuk mendapatkan panjang bias tape yang dikehendaki.

Cara Menggunakan Bias Tape Maker

 Masukkan fabrik ke dalam bias tape maker.
Penggunaan pin dapat membantu untuk mengeluarkan fabrik dengan mudah.

Tarik bias tape maker menggunakan tangan kiri dan seterika menggunakan tangan kanan. 
(proses sebaliknya, sekiranya anda kidal)

resipi:ubi kentang biji sawi 
Foto: Selamat pagi semua. Rasanya nak makan kari tak malam ni? Pasti ada ubi kentang kat dapur kan? Cubalah ubi kentang biji sawi ini. Senang je.
Didihkan 5 ubi kentang separuh masak. Kisarkan 10 cili merah(ataupun ikut rasa), 5 ulas bawang putih, 15 bawang merah dan 5 buah keras. Panaskan minyak dan masukkan 2 sudu besar biji sawi, 1 sudu kecil jintan putih dan gorengkan. Kemudian, campurkan ramuan yang dikisarkan tadi dan gorengkan. Masukkan ubi kentang, 1 sudu besar Planta, gula dan garam dan akhir sekali daun ketumbar. Boleh dimakan bersama nasi ataupun roti. Nikmatilah ya!

Bahan-bahan
3 biji telur A - dari peti sejuk
250 gm tepung gandum
150 gm gula halus
170 gm susu segar (susu full cream)
3 sudu teh baking powder
1 sudu kecil ovallete
1 sudu kecil esen vanila
Filling blueberry@strawberry secukupnya (masukkan ke dalam piping bag)
Pewarna

papercup secukupnya

Cara-cara
Masukkan semua bahan apam ke dalam mangkuk mixer dan pukul kelajuan maxima selama 6 - 8 minit (k.nor guna speed 6 menggunakan kenwood selama 9 min)sehingga likat dan agak ringan.

Bahagikan adunan kepada beberapa bahagian & titiskan pewarna mengikut citarasa.

Masukkan setiap warna ke dalam piping bag (atau beg plastik yang bersih).

Picitkan sedikit adunan ke dalam mangkuk kertas yang telah disusun didalam acuan lompang.

Picitkan blueberry@strawberry filling secukupnya.(mokwo guna strawberry filling, tapi orang kata letak nutella filling lagi sedap!)

Picitkan lagi adunan sehingga ¾ penuh.Kemudian dot dot kan dengan warna adunan pilihan.

Kukus didalam kukusan yang telah dipanaskan selama 10-15 minit. Api jangan terlalu besar bimbang apam akan merekah. (k.nor kukus selama 12 min)
* k.nor guna acuan lompang yg saiz besar sket dr biasa tu dan kukus apam selama 12min

pantang larangan nya:
1) kalau telur yang di gunakan tuh kecil, bolehlah lebihkan telur  atau lebih kan cecair ie susu yang di gunakan..supaya hasilnya tidak terlalu 'dry'.(guna susu fresh lebih baik)

2) pukul adunan sampai betul2 fluffy...sampai ringan..ie sekitar 6-8 minit pada kelajuan tinggi..barulah apam jadi gebusss

3)mencorak dan meletak kan apam dalam pengukus haruslah di buat dengan scepat mungkin...kalau tak baking powder akan bertindak balas dalam adunan menyebabkan apam di jangkiti 'jerawat batu'

4) isikan adunan batter hampir penuh kedalam papercup, so apam yang terhasil akan nampak naik dengan chantiknya

5) kukus apam dengan api yang sedrhana, tidak terlalu besar, supaya apam tidak merekah

6) apam yang di kukus terlalu lama sehingga masuk titisan air, akan menyebabkan apam mengecut

Bahan kek:
3 biji telur gred B*
1 1/2 cawan gula kastor*
1 1/2 cawan minyak*
1 cawan yogurt*
2 sdb pewarna merah*
1 st cuka putih*
1 st esen vanila*
2 1/2 cawan tepung gandum,ayakkan
1 sdb serbuk koko
1 st serbuk soda bikarbonat
1 st garam

Cara:
1.Panaskan oven 170'C.Griskan loyang 8x8" dan alas dg baking paper.

2.Dalam food processor,putar bahan bertanda* hingga rata.

3.Masukkan tepung gandum,serbuk koko,soda bikarbonat,garam.Putar lagi hingga rata & halus.

4.Tuang ke dalam loyang dan bakar selama 1 jam atau sehingga masak.Setelah masak sejukkan dan bahagi kepada berapa bahagian (sesuai selera) utk diberi krim keju.

Bahan krim keju:
250g krim keju
1/2 cawan gula aising,ayakkan
1/4 cawan whipping cream
parutan kulit lemon dr 1 buah lemon

Cara:
1.Satukan semua bahan dalam mangkuk pengadun.Putar sehingga lembut dan halus.

2.Sapukan pada lapisan kek.

Pesan:
Red velvet cake ini agak berat seperti butter cake.

1.5 kg chicken cut into approximately 16 pieces.

Marinate with salt and tumeric powder and fry until golden brown and put aside.

GROUND SPICE INGREDIENTS

a)Combine
3 red onions
6 clove garlics
2 cm ginger (halia)
4 cm galangal (lengkuas)
5 lemon grass (serai)
1/2 cm fresh tumeric (kunyit hidup)
2 candlenuts (buah keras)

b) Ground seperately;

100 gram dried chillies (seeded and washed)
1cm prawn paste (belacan)
100 gm dried shrimps (udang kering)

SAUCE INGREDIENTS

Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
monosodium glumate to taste
Chicken stock granules to taste
2 tbsp condensed milk/evaporated milk
2 tbsp tomato puree
1 cup oil
METHOD

Heat 1 cup oil in a wok and fry ground ingredients (a) until fragrant and add ground ingredients (b) until fragrant and oil separates.

Stir in sauce ingredients to mix. Simmer until mixture turns bubbly and oil is seen rising to the top.. Put the cooked/fried chicken into the mixture. Stir fry well to combine.Lower the heat and cook for 10 minutes. Dish out and serve with plain rice or briyani rice.

2 Cups Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder (Optional) This will make the cake rise just a little bit more than using the Baking Soda only.
2 Eggs (I use large eggs)
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Buttermilk
Note that you can freeze buttermilk so you have it to make another buttermilk chocolate cake recipe later.
1 Cup Mazola Vegetable Oil
1 ½ Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 Cup Boiling Water
You can use 1 Cup of strong coffee instead of the boiling water. Doing so intensifies the chocolate flavor. If you're making it for children you might want to stick with the boiling water.
  1. Preheat Oven to 300° F
    (This is not a typo! This is a slow bake chocolate cake recipe.)
  2. Use Crisco Shortening to lightly grease and flour the
    9 x 13 in. Baking Dish.
    (It's a one layer chocolate cake!)
  3. Place all the ingredients on the leftexcept the cup of boiling waterinto a mixing bowl.
  4. Mix at medium or medium high speed. After about 1 minute add the 1 cup of boiling water. Then continue to mix until all ingredients are blended and smooth.
  5. Pour into greased and floured baking dish
  6. Bake for 1 hr.
    (Cupcakes 22 - 23 min. Be sure to use cupcake liners.)
  7. Test by sticking in the middle with a knife. If it comes out clean... it's done! If not put it back in the oven for an additional 5 minutes and then test again.
  8. Allow to cool.

Cornflake Cookies
Cornflake 3

Ingredients:

85g sugar
113g unsalted butter
141g self-raising flour, sifted
1/2 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups lightly crushed cornflakes

Method:

1) Beat soften butter and sugar until light in colour.

2) Add egg and vanilla extract.

3 Fold in flour in one go and shape the biscuit dough into the size of small limes.

4) Roll the dough balls into the cornflakes and place on a lined baking tray about 1 1/2" apart.

5) Bake cookies in a preheated oven of 160-170C for 15-18 mins

Bakers Note:

To make self-raising flour, mix 150gm plain flour with 1 tsp baking powder.
For variation to the cookie recipe, you can add in 1/2 cup of raisins or cranberries.

1. Untuk Panduan Dan Tips Masakan/Di Dapur :-



a) Sekiranya anda mahu puding karamel (puding gula hangus) yang anda buat menjadi lebih licin dan cantik, gunakan susu pekat manis F&N.



b)Jangan buang lebihan sambal belacan atau sambal tumis yang tidak habis. Simpan di dalam peti sejuk dan boleh digunakan semula dalam tumisan anda dalam banyak jenis masakan seperti kuew teow goreng, mee goreng, nasi goreng dan sebagainya.



c)Kalau anda mahu stok ikan yang anda beli di pasar sentiasa segar dan tahan lama, terus menyimpanya di dalam ruangan sejukbeku tanpa menyiangnya terlebih dahulu.



d)Untuk mendapat doh roti yang naik dengan sempurna, rehatkan doh tersebut di bawah tuala lembab dan letakannya di atas peti sejuk.



e)Lain tangan lain jadinya, walaupun resepi yang sama. Sebenarnya setiap kali menumis sambal atau kari, pastikan anda menumis sehingga naik minyak dan harum baunya kerana masakan yang berbau enak pasti enak rasanya.



f)Sekiranya anda membuat kek, pastikan dulang pembakar di sapu mentega terlebih dahulu sebelum diletakkan kertas minyak di atasnya.



g) Kalau anda mahu biskut coklat chip yang anda buat lebih enak dari famous amos, tukarkan penggunaan serbuk koko kepada serbuk milo dan gunakan hanya kacang pecan.



h) Puding roti yang enak dan gebu bukan di buat menggunakan roti biasa tetapi roti crossaint.



i) Untuk menghasilkan dadih susu yang asli, hanya gunakan susu segar sahaja dan campurkan satu cawan gula dan satu cawan 'coffee mate' untuk setiap paket dadih segera (termasuk gula yang disertakan di dalam paket itu).


j) Membeli dengan lebih bijak. Mayonis yang enak dengan harga yang jauh lebih rendah adalah jenama Kimball.


k)Anda tidak akan tersilap, bila membeli yogurt jenama Dutch Lady kerana anda tidak ingin mencuba jenama lain kerana yogurt jenama Dutch Lady memang menyelerakan.

Italian Knots Cookies (klik to view<<credit to her)
3 cups all-purpose flour 

3 large eggs 
3 teaspoons baking powder 
1/2 cup granulated sugar 
2 teaspoons lemon extract 1/2 cup butter, softened 
powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a baking sheet or baking stone. Beat the butter until creamy. Add eggs, sugar and lemon extracts and mix thoroghly. In a seperate mixing bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Add flour mixture slowly to the butter mixture, adding a small amount of milk if the batter becomes too thick or dry. Mix the batter until dough forms. Shape pieces of dough into a thin cigar shape, approximately 4 or 5 inches long, and then carefully loop the dough into a knot shape. Place knot-shaped dough onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Cookie Glaze:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened 2 tablespoonslemon juice Grated rind of 1 lemon

Chocolate Cloud Cookies

Skill: Medium

Prep: 15 minutes (plus a minimum of one hour to chill the dough)
Total: 30 minutes (plus a minimum of one hour to chill the dough)


  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter




  • 8 ounces semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped




  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar




  • 2 large eggs




  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract




  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour




  • 1/4 teaspoon salt




  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder




  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar, sifted



  • n a stainless steel bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, melt the chocolate and butter. Remove from heat and set aside. (I used a small saucepan resting in a large saucepan.)
    In the bowl of your electric mixer (or with a hand mixer), beat the eggs and sugar until thick, pale and fluffy. (When you slowly raise the beaters the batter will fall back into the bowl in slow ribbons.) At this point beat in the vanilla extract and then stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
    In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, salt and baking powder. Add dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, stirring just until incorporated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm enough to shape into balls, at least 1 hour (preferably several hours or even overnight).
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees and place rack in center of oven. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
    Place the confectioner’s sugar in a shallow bowl. With lightly greased hands, roll a small amount of chilled dough to form a 1-inch ball. Place the ball of dough into the confectioner’s sugar and roll the ball in the sugar until it is completely coated and no chocolate shows through. Gently lift the sugar-covered ball, tapping off excess sugar, and place on the prepared baking sheet. Continue forming cookies, spacing about 2 inches apart on the baking sheets. If you find the dough getting too soft for rolling into balls, return to the refrigerator and let chill until firm.
    Bake cookies 10-13 minutes or just until the edges are slightly firm but the centers still soft. For moist, chewy cookies do not overbake. Overbaking will cause them to be dry. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool.

    2/3 cup unsalted butter
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    160 milliliters of molasses
    20 milliliters of vinegar
    4 3/4 cup all purpose flour
    1 tablespoon baking soda
    1 tablespoon ground ginger
    3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

    Directions:
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    1. With a mixer cream the butter and sugar, scrape down the sides frequently, and allow to mixture to become light and fluffy.
    2. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
    3. Add molasses and vinegar slowly to avoid the mixture from separating.
    4. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed butter mixture just until combined.
    5. Wrap dough in a flat rectangle or a log, and chill.
    6. If working with a rectangle, roll out balls using your hands, if using a log, cut cookies.
    7. Dip or roll in granulated sugar.
    8. Bake for about 7 to 9 minutes.

    1 cup Sugar

    2 cups flour
    1 cup butter
    0.5 cup coconut savings (as much as you want)
    a sprinkel coconut milk (or normal mike)
    2tsp vanilla essence (rawta)

    Preparation

    Preparation: Mix the sugar, chocolate powder, butter, flour and vanilla essence into a bowl. Add the coconut milk and mix well (if needed add more coconut milk). Add the coconut shavings and chocolate chips. 


    Make small balls of the mixture and place them on a cooking sheet.



    Cooking Instructions: Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Once heated, place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. 



    Once baked, melt some chocolate and glaze the top of the cookies. Sprinkle some coconut shavings on top

    Homemade Samoas Cookie Recipe

    • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
    • 1 tablespoon red food coloring.( I highly recommend the gel variety. You can buy it at any craft store. It is much brighter and you can use less)
    • Powdered sugar, for rolling out dough
    • 3 tablespoons milk

    Directions

    Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder and set aside.
    Cream butter and sugar together in another large bowl. Add egg, vanilla, milk, and peppermint extract, and beat until incorporated. Gradually add the dry mixture, beating until combined. Remove half of the mixture from the bowl. Add red food coloring, beating until fully combined. You may have to knead the colored dough a bit to get it mixed thoroughly. On a sheet of waxed paper, roll out dough to form a large rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick. Repeat this step with the other half of uncolored dough with no food coloring.


    Now very carefully, slide the red dough on top of the white dough and slide the parchment paper out. Trim edges if uneven and patch if necessary. Roll dough into a log, creating a swirl effect. NOTE: do not worry if the dough starts to tear a little when you are rolling it. This is normal. Simply mend it with your fingers as you go along.

    Now place a generous amount of sprinkes in a shallow dish and roll the cookie dough log firmly over the sprinkles until they stick and its covered. Wrap tightly with saran wrap and place the dough back in the refrigerator and let chill for 2 hours.

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
    Slice the dough into 1/2-inch slices and place on a parchment lined sheet tray about 1-inch apart. Bake fo2 10-15 minuets depending on how thick you sliced the cookies.

    Fudgy Brownie Cookies

    Fudgy Brownie Cookies

    • 1 package fudge brownie mix (I used Duncan Hines)
    • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
    • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 stick butter, melted, cooled
    • 2-3 tablespoons cold water
    • 1 cup dark chocolate chunks (I found of bag of dark chocolate chunks but if you can’t just chop a dark chocolate bar into chunks)
    1. Whisk together flour, brownie mix and brown sugar.
    2. Using a heavy spoon, stir in eggs one at a time. Followed by butter and 2 tablespoons water. If the batter appears like there is too much flour add 1 more tablespoon of water. Batter will be very thick.
    3. Fold in chocolate chunks
    4. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
    5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    6. Grease a cookie sheet.
    7. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough on the cookie sheet, you want pretty thick cookies here to get the brownie feel, about 3 inches apart. Press down slightly. Don’t flatten completely. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
    8. Remove from oven, allow to cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet. Transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.
